Students, faculty, and staff participating in the service project are now collecting winter garments such as hats, scarves, socks, gloves, and more for the children, men and women residents at the Wellspring.
Wellspring is a nonprofit which provides services for those dealing with domestic violence, sexual assault, homelessness, and child endangerment. Wellspring also serves veterans.
According to the Corporation for National and Community Service, “The MLK Day of Service
is a part of â€کUnited We Serve,’ a national call to service initiative. It calls for
Americans from all walks of life to work together to provide solutions to our most
pressing national problems.â€
Students, faculty, staff, and the community are invited to donate items for the service
project. Those interested may bring items to Strauss Hall, Room 208, located on the
ذكذكتسئµ campus, or to Student Services, Suite 144, located on the LDCC campus.
Items may be delivered from now until 10 a.m., Monday, Jan. 19.
The ذكذكتسئµ and LDCC cohort will personally deliver the items to the Wellspring at 11 a.m., Jan. 19.
