Ƶ librarian publishes three new book reviews

Melinda F. Matthews, University of Louisiana at Monroe Interlibrary Loan/Reference Librarian recently wrote two new book reviews.

Her review of “SPEC Kit 281: The Information Commons,” by Leslie Haas and Jan Robertson was published in volume three of “Codex: the Journal of the Louisiana Chapter of the Association of College and Research Libraries.”

The second review, “Madam Belle: Sex, Money, and Influence in a Southern Brothel” by Maryjean Wall, was published in volume 62 of “Southeastern Librarian.”

Matthews also published a review of “Charles Walters: the Director Who Made Hollywood Dance,” by Brent Phillips. The review appears in volume 63 of “Southeastern Librarian.”

Matthews has worked at the Ƶ Library since 1990, when she started as the Humanities Reference Librarian.

She has held the Interlibrary Loan/Reference Librarian position since 1992.
