ذكذكتسئµ unveils Wall of Honor

During a special reception in the ذكذكتسئµ Library Tuesday evening, ذكذكتسئµ President James E. Cofer, Sr. unveiled the University of Louisiana at Monroe Wall of Honor. Cofer also announced the 2006 ذكذكتسئµ Hall of Distinction Award winner, the Thomas H. and Mayme P. Scott Foundation.

Betty Cummins accepted the Hall of Distinction honor on behalf of her parents.

“I wish mom and dad were here. They loved this university. We’re just happy to be here representing them,â€‌ Cummins said.

The Hall of Distinction recognizes those who have honored ذكذكتسئµ through a lifetime of distinction or exemplary service to the university. Kitty DeGree was the inaugural winner of the ذكذكتسئµ Hall of Distinction award in 2005.

The Wall of Honor includes both the Kitty DeGree Bell Tower Society display and the ذكذكتسئµ Hall of Distinction display.

ذكذكتسئµ recognizes its special alumni and friends as members of the Kitty DeGree Bell Tower Society, named in honor of ذكذكتسئµâ€™s most generous donor, philanthropist and civic leader Kitty DeGree.

Traditionally, ذكذكتسئµ hosts an annual event to honor University Associates. This includes donors who support the university annually with gifts of $1,000 and more. In honor of ذكذكتسئµâ€™s 75th Anniversary, ذكذكتسئµ has expanded this event to include all donors who have cumulatively donated $50,000 or more.
